Just another WordPress.com site

Today, I am thankful. Not that I am not everyday, but I really feel ‘full’ of thankfulness today…

I am thankful for my husband, who I love more than anything. We’ve grown up together, and even after all these years, still gives me butterflies.

I am thankful for my mom. She is the reason for a large part of who I am today. Truly a Proverbs 31 woman. Her strength is greater than anything I have ever witnessed.

I am thankful for my dad who opened my eyes and world, to help me believe the impossible. Even though he is no longer physically here, he is still always present in my thoughts, deeds and actions.

I am thankful for my wonderful sisters, and brothers, who tell me like it is, and who cheer on my successes, cry with me in my sorrows, and tell me like it is – when I’m about to, or have done something stupid.

I am thankful for my 3 little monkeys. Without them, I wouldn’t fully understand the joy of being a mother. They make my heart so full.

I am thankful for my health. I have witnessed so many people suffering, and I am taking this moment to acknowledge, and be thankful for a body and mind, that work beautifully, most of the time.

I am thankful for my ‘job’, the wonderful little people who join my home daily, and enrich my soul, and my heart.

I am thankful for my friends, who share their lives and experiences. I learn so much from them. They help keep me sane in a world that is just sometimes full of craziness. I am thankful for how much my friends make me laugh.

Today, I am just taking a minute to take stock of some of the things that make me smile.
